David Mou is the founding attorney of Mou Legal PLLC. He has over a decade of legal experience navigating clients through complex legal, regulatory, and compliance challenges. David’s unique commercial, employment, and federal litigation experience allows him to develop meaningful partnerships with clients, internal partners, and outside regulators to mitigate potential risks. He has advocated on behalf of clients before various New York City agencies, state insurance departments, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the Department of Defense.
David has tried numerous jury cases to verdict on behalf of clients for violations of their civil rights, defended collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and defined the scope of First Amendment Retaliation under the United States Constitution. David’s experience counseling plaintiffs and defendants allows him to analyze a case from multiple perspectives to ensure the best possible outcome for the client.
David is an Adjunct Professor at Fordham University School of Law, where he teaches trial advocacy. He was a mentee in the Eastern District of New York’s CJA Mentorship Program and served as a Special Master in the New York County Lawyers Association Special Master’s Program. He is committed to promoting diversity in the legal profession as Secretary of the Asian American Bar Association of New York and Co-chair of the Judiciary Committee.
